Our Global Family: Chew Stoke Church School and Christian Life Primary School, Uganda

At Chew Stoke Church School, we believe in fostering a truly global community and understanding that we are all part of God's wider family. A very special part of this is our strong link with Christian Life Primary School in South-Western Uganda.

This partnership is much more than just a connection; it's an exchange of learning, support, and friendship that enriches the lives of children in both our schools.

A Bond Built on Shared Values

Like us, Christian Life Primary School is rooted in Christian values. They are dedicated to providing education and support to children in their community, offering a lifeline to those who might otherwise not have the chance to attend school. Their mission resonates deeply with our own commitment to compassion, love, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to flourish.

How Our Partnership Works

Our link with Christian Life Primary School is dynamic and evolving, creating wonderful opportunities for our pupils to learn about different cultures and global challenges. Here are some ways we strengthen our bond:

  • Communication and Connection: We actively encourage our children to learn about daily life at Christian Life Primary School. We've even held fundraising events, like non-school uniform days, to purchase iPads that have been delivered to Uganda, enabling us to connect with the children there through video calls and real-time conversations! This allows for truly personal exchanges and helps our pupils understand the world beyond their immediate surroundings. We also hold several live Worships each year between the schools
  • Cultural Exchange and Learning: Through our partnership, our children gain a deeper understanding of global citizenship. They learn about the lives of their Ugandan friends, their traditions, their challenges, and their joys. This fosters empathy, broadens their perspectives, and helps them appreciate the diversity of God's world. We often share stories, artwork, and even special projects between the schools.
  • Prayer and Reflection: Our shared Christian faith underpins our partnership. We regularly pray for the children, staff, and families of Christian Life Primary School, and they, in turn, pray for us. This spiritual connection strengthens our bond and reminds us of our shared humanity.

Making a Difference, Together

Our link with Christian Life Primary School is a testament to the power of community and the impact we can have when we work together. It provides our children with invaluable lessons in compassion, global awareness, and the joy of helping others. We are incredibly proud of this special relationship and look forward to continuing to grow and learn alongside our friends in Uganda.
