Children are offered a choice of food prepared in our School Kitchen. Our catering staff have achieved the Bronze Food For Life catering award. The menus focus on ‘Healthy Eating’ and offer a balanced selection. Should your child have any special dietary need, please contact the School Office.
Menu
Children may bring a packed lunch if they wish, in a clearly-named box. Please note we are unable to provide chilled storage for packed lunches.
Payment for Meals
Parents should pay in advance for meals, using our online ParentPay system. The cost of a school meal is currently £2.70. If a child is collected from school due to sickness, it will not be possible to credit that day’s meal as the kitchen will have already accounted for meals to be provided.
Arrears
It is not acceptable for parents to be in arrears for school lunches. Arrears in excess of 5 days’ lunches will mean access to school meals will be suspended until the arrears are cleared; parents/carers will need to provide a packed lunch for their child/ren.
Emergency Lunch
In extreme cases where a child is without a lunchtime meal, a cooked meal will be provided. The child/ren’s parent/carer will be issued with an invoice to cover the meal cost which should be paid immediately.
Free School Meals
As from September 2014 all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal. Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits may be entitled to free school meals; a claim form may be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this section.
