Starting School
New Parents’ Meeting
The induction programme starts with a meeting for new (and returning) parents on Tuesday 3rd June at 6.15 pm (no children please). At this meeting you will meet the members of staff who will have most contact with your child, as well as other members of school staff, governors and Out of School Club staff. School uniform will also be on display from our suppliers, South West Schoolwear, together with second-hand uniform from the shop run by our PTA.
Home Visits
A special feature of our induction programme is our home visits, which we undertake during the first week in September. You will be sent a link to a booking site where you can select your preferred time for our Early Years teacher and teaching assistant to visit you and your child at home. Children love showing us their favourite toys and games, and the visit helps to reinforce the important link between home and school.
